Runners will spend months training for a single race, paying scrupulous attention to their workouts, recovery, and nutrition, but leave the mental aspect of the race entirely up to chance. I know; I used to do the same thing, and that was what sometimes prevented me from reaching my goals.
But once I prepared my mind for the mental challenges, I achieved my goals, and you can too! I’ll teach you the strategies and techniques to believe in yourself and reach your goals not only in races, but in every aspect of your life.
One of the cornerstones of Running for Real is that we’re a community. That’s why you’ll receive access to a group of runners who are also training for a goal race, where everyone can help each other to reach their full potential. We know that when we have a strong support system, we’re more likely to succeed.
After you finish the course, you’ll be able to step up to the starting line with confidence, knowing that you have the mental skill to deploy in any tough moments you may encounter.
The Mile 20 Mental Training course is designed to be taken over twelve weeks, to mirror the duration of many race training plans, but it can be completed in as few as nine.
